Addison's Baby Blanket
Addison's Baby Blanket by ~audreydc1983 on deviantART
This lacy little number took a bit longer than the pattern said. Although, I tend to be a "leisurely" crocheter. That might be the reason. I love doing chevrons, and this one was pretty challenging. I don't know if I'll ever do it again, though...it was rather time-consuming!
It was from the Micheal's web site: Lilac & White Crochet Baby Blanket
I used three skeins of Red Heart TLC Baby - one white, the other two "Girly Girl."
I liked the color combination of the Girly Girl yarn - dark pinks, light pinks, and greens combined for a harmonious floral-type effect. Honestly, I think the name should be "English Rose", but I don't name yarns...I just crochet!
The pattern, in my opinion, is hard to follow. They try their best to break it down into the simplest terms possible - which may help the beginners, but at first, being an experienced crocheter, this pattern was *VERY* difficult to understand.
I'd rewrite the pattern so that I can understand it, but I have better things to do...other projects are waiting!

A bit of a lull, huh?
I'm writing this post to apologize for my lack of posts. It seems that I have been swamped with projects for the last couple of weeks, and none of them are completely done. When I get so many projects at once, I tend to work on the one that I fancy the most...well, at the time, anyway. This leads to 3 or 4 projects in different states of incompleteness.
Do not lose hope, however - in the next two weeks, you might start to see a flurry of posts, as projects start to inch toward completion. I am here, I am fine, and I will have some goodies for you soon! :D
To tide you over, I have created a label for my crochet bomb "tags":

Valentine's Hearts!
Valentines Hearts by ~audreydc1983 on deviantART
I crocheted these valentine's hearts out of frog yarn and yarn scraps that I had laying around. I yarn bombed a few sites around town, just to share the love!
Check out my yarn bombing site, The Crochet Valkyrie for more details!

Homemade Drawing Grid
Homemade Drawing Grid by ~audreydc1983 on deviantART
This is a grid made with Plexiglas, to aid me in drawing mechanical things - to get the proportions right.
I used a cheapo T-square and a X-Acto knife to cut the grid, which is in 1" squares. I did make notches every 1/2 inch as well. I used a bit of ink to darken the lines, with usable results - I also tried some enamel paint as well, but only ended up with a nasty mess.
The grid is 8"x12", about the size of a regular 3 ring binder. This is a partial picture; my scanner, for some reason, didn't pick up the whole thing.
I'll try it out and comment about it's usefulness later. I'm just really proud of myself - I used some leftover Plexiglas that we were going to just throw away...and I made something useful out of it! Cool!
