Ladybug Hat

This is me in my newest creation:

Ladybug Hat by ~audreydc1983 on deviantART

My Ladybug Hat!

Made with dark green, light green, red, and black sport yarn throughout.
The hat itself is ALL single crochet...a task that would have daunted me in the past. I guess with experience comes patience!
The leaf and ladybug were a little more complicated. I used slip stitch, single, double, and triple crochet on the leaf. the ladybug is triple crochet, with french knots as spots.
I sewed the ladybug on the leaf, then I sewed the leaf to the hat (with yarn and a tapestry needle)
The hat pattern I got from Crochet Spot and the ladybug on a leaf design I got from a book:

by Melody Griffiths

Cool, huh? And ultra cute...

  2. Thanks! I try to let people know I have a blog, but sometimes it falls through the cracks. And, honestly - why should they look at the blog posts when I post the art right in my FB album? Thanks for being interested enough to stop by!
